Campo is a lovely dog but we believe something may have happened to him before he came to SOS. He is very wary and untrusting of people and needs a home with lot of experience with dogs where they are prepared to work hard on his issues. He is very confident when he is with other dogs but he doesn't like being handled. He's not scared of people and you can put a lead on him. He also tolerates having his nails cut and the like. Ideally his new home would include a dog friend. Someone who can help him to come out of his shell. He also needs a calm environment where he can develop a confidence in his new owner and at his own pace. We would not recommend a home in the city or with children. He can be a little rough at feeding time although he is good on a lead. We often let him off the lead during walks, but he can be hard to catch. He follows us back home though as his friends and cage are his security. He loves to run and play with his friends.
